In recent years, the application of melamine cyanurate （MCA）in polyolefins and other materials has drawn more and more attention. Table 4-11 shows the flame retardancy and main mechanical properties of MCA and phosphorus fire retardants.
In the above flame-retardant formulations, except for 3-C, all are MCA modified with a silane coupling agent. It can be seen from this that the fire retardancy and physical properties of the modified MCA are significantly improved.
