Nitrogen series flame retardants features.
Melamine has effectively overcome these shortcomings, so it has a place in the current flame retardant family. This paper mainly describes melamine and its derivatives, nitrogen flame retardants have the following characteristics.
1. Low toxicity and low corrosion.
Melamine, dicyandiamide, guanidine and its salt and other nitrogen flame retardants have low toxicity. For example, the LD50 of melamine to mice is more than 3000 mg/kg, and the release of toxic gas when burning very little.
It was found that the toxicity of magnesium hydroxide, nitrogen _ phosphorus flame retardants, halogen flame retardants and flame retardant V_0 PP was 0.05, 0.05 and 0.25, respectively. That is to say, the toxicity of PP containing nitrogen flame retardants was similar to that of magnesium hydroxide, only 1/5 of that of halogen flame retardants.
2. The smoke density during combustion is low and the smoke emission is low.
In the smoke box smoke density experiment of magnesium hydroxide, nitrogen and phosphorus flame retardants, halogen flame retardants, in these 3 items V0 pp it is found that the smoke density D of halogen flame retardant pp is 8~10 times higher than the other two, while the smoke density of the other two is the same as that of non_flame retardant pp.
We manufacture melamine cyanurate _ halogen free flame retardant.
